Culture and new technologies
The approach to new technologies can not dispense with its location in a given culture. The relationship that new technologies have with the person and society in terms of their cultural environment. Technology is one of the factors that shape a culture. "Culture is a community humanized universe is created, consciously or unconsciously, is its own representation of the past and the future project, its institutions and creations typical customs and beliefs, attitudes and behavior characteristics, original way to communicate, work, celebrate, and techniques to create works that reveal his soul, and their ultimate values. In this sense, technology, and therefore new technologies enter the dynamic and continuous interaction with other components that make up a culture. You can even turn into one of the factors of socio-cultural transformation. One can conclude from the above, this close relationship leads to the technology in some way, an expression of culture to which it belongs, on the other hand, that technology in turn, contributes to this culture. But the most important element in this relationship between technology, culture is the human freedom that gives the art a place in the culture in which it arises and develops. In a culture like ours in marked dyes agnostics, economism, consumerism, pragmatic and secularists, the technology is in many of its expressions biased (biased) because of these characteristics on both the objectives for which it is conceived as the use made thereof.
Impact on the economy
The expansion of computer networks has led to the universalization of exchanges and relations, this favors the free market, globalization. The idea of the "global village " (McLuhan) is gaining strength. Now our life is conditioned by what happens to thousands of kilometers. A political or economic event in one country can have a significant impact in other nations. For example, rising interest rates in the United States, determines the value of money in Europe and the liquidity of the citizens, their capacity for consumption and welfare. We currently live in a new social model called "knowledge society " that replaces the previous socioeconomic models, agrarian society and industrial society.
In the agricultural model exploitation of the land generates wealth, In an industrial society, mass production of consumer goods. Now it is important to know the wishes of customers, know the competition, where you can buy and sell with the best conditions ... information. In this context, new technologies let to store and process a large amount of information in a very simple. All technological solutions appear first in large companies because they have greater capacity to invest if they have a positive result are added to the market and small businesses.
Mass Media in society
One of the problems raised in the investigation is is how new technologies affect the communication between people and see if they can affect a man physically or psychically.Communication between people is a broad term that refers not only to direct communication, also the distance communication and instant communication (msn) or timeless (blogs...).
The fact that new technologies are easy to use and go to market with an affordable price for most sectors of the population makes the integration is almost complete especially among the young. All this has occurred so quickly that no analysis or awareness by the population.Contact with the new technology is constant and we are not aware, in the long run there will be consequences.Over time there are more devices with Internet access. Initially, the mobile phone used to call and talk but now the mobile phone incorporated messages SMS from which the language is distorted by the abbreviations in written communication, camera, video, games, music and Internet access. If we concede many functions in this type of equipment increases our dependence on them, lose the ability to write, to understand, for the calculation, creativity and ability to think with every Google search.
Education and new technologies
Currently new technologies are part of the teaching in schools. This is due to the need to satisfy the social demands of a technological society. The school is part of the social structure and can not exclude new technologies. If the role of the school is educate the society has to teach to make good use of new resources. In many cases the new media generate a different educational model and generally enhance the presentation and reception of information. For this reason, technological training of new generations of teachers is important. They will have to be trained for develop and transmit critical thinking led to the media to avoid manipulation of the user. The digitization of the educational process is irreversible, and education will be based on scientific principles and techniques based on a model of information and communication.
If we want a quality education is important to control this process of adaptation between school and technology. The change is to bring the education system closer to the contemporary social reality, however, if new technologies come into the classroom, come into the classroom with advertising,ideologies...
New technologies in the information world
The increasingly virtual space provides more information, a transfer information is being produced to the virtual environment in all areas possible, education, business, banking, personal data of the inhabitants of a country...The media in this context have a key role in the processing and transmission of information , for this reason, is important to analyze the ability of different communication systems to transmit information. Analyzing the situation from a general perspective we can say that the media misinform because they offer a lot of messages to the receiver. Many of these messages are conflicting, and this produces an excess of information that causes it not to assimilate and process any kind of information. If we read two news pay attention to these news, if we read one hundred read a little of each or do not read any. Our vision of reality will be much more superficial. We need to add the control agents for manipulation of media that cause the wobble information system and establish a clear trend towards chaos, entropy. Also noteworthy that not all the people have the same technical mastery of the virtual environment, the people who control this area, hackers or computer security agents of government , have to reach very powerful information with the ability to create different realities in favor of their interests. The global phenomenon "Wikileaks" has opened the door for reflection. On the one hand, the consequences of the digitization of confidential information and on the other hand about the control of the real important information.
interesting and 'on topic', your comments make for good reading. There are some grammar and vocab mistakes but they do not impede understanding.
ResponderEliminarCULTURE AND NEW TECHNMOLOGIES
ResponderEliminarThe article is very interesting. The culture is influenced by new technologies, as a culture is a conglomeration of the way in which people live a certain place, but to say this to say that new technologies are essential for the culture not just convinced me. At first view can be true, but do they haven’t their tribal culture that exist in Africa? Today, the man creates needs that are not there. Create thousands of things and subordinate to them, and finally, this incredible invention that revolutionizes the market (mobile internet) catches us and takes away a little freedom. I'm not saying that all these things they have invented are bad; they have brought many good things.
IMPACT ON THE ECONOMY
It is an incredible article. I totally agree with what you have exposed. Globalization is causing things outside the country influence. A current example is clear what happened in the United States with the death of Osama Bin Laden. Has been repercussions throughout the world. In Spain, for example this may influence which, like France, were among the first to congratulate USA for having achieved this milestone, not realizing that Al Qaeda is still alive and may seek revenge, attempting mainly in countries that have participated in the case.
MASS MEDIA IN SOCIETY
It is true that technological development is causing a serious deterioration of language. The online media cause people do not talk much, write bad ... but the real problem is in communication. I think that this article has failed deal seriously the issue of the lack of relationships in contemporary society. Internet makes people with little personality make up their own personality. They have two facets: the real and the network. There are people who spend the day locked up at home talking on the internet. What about relationships face to face? What about friends? To meet someone you have to treat him: Go to bar, study... now many young people only see in class, party and the computer.
